DTM  started as a  grafitti and hip  hop crew in the late 80’s.Nights were  spent  cruising  from train stations  to  lost  walls and organising local soundsystem  parties. Thanks to a few trips to London we discovered the first wave of UK breakbeats, back then called hardcore.These new sounds added another dimension to our hip hop roots. At the same time, in Belgium, the techno scene was exploding and broadened our horizons. DTM RECORDZ was born in 94 as a fusion of these two scenes and is an evolving interaction between long established musicians, DJ’s, promoters, and graphists (currently coming from the grafitti and hip hop scene)…

The concept is simple : to expose techno and breakbeat music that would, in the current stylistically entrenched market, otherwise not to make it to vinyl. We do not promise to be bearers of a new era or any one particular style – we refuse to produce only one genre… For we believe that music should always be progressive.
